BOARD OF FINANCE
SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES
NOVEMBER 23, 2011


I.      CALL TO ORDER

A Special Meeting of the Board of Finance was called to order by Chairman Harrison at 7:30 a.m. in the Selectmen’s Chamber, Avon Town Hall.  Members present:  Margaret Bratton and Messrs: Gugliotti and Speich.

Mr. Harrison reported that the Board of Finance met jointly this morning with the Town Council to discuss the need to act upon an additional appropriation for Storm Debris Removal.  The Board of Finance participated with the Town Council in discussions regarding the need for an additional appropriation.  

II.     REQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION

On a motion made by Mr. Harrison, seconded by Mr. Gugliotti, it was voted:
RESOLVED:       That the Board of Finance hereby approves an additional appropriation for Storm Alfred Debris Removal in the amount not to exceed $850,000. to be funded from available unappropriated General Fund Resources, based upon the recommendation of the Town Council and certification of the availability of such resources from the Town Manager, per Charter Sections 9.5.1 (e) and (g).
Mrs. Bratton and Messrs: Harrison, Gugliotti and Speich voted in favor.

III.      ADJOURMENT

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 a.m.
